With heat and copious amounts of style, our return to the desert was a success. The ++style mixer & fashion speak++ event held March 7,  included a special panel discussion with talented Native fashion designers Sho Sho Esquiro, Bethany Yellowtail, Jared Yazzie and Alano Edzerza. Each panelist discussed their motivations for their brilliant work and noted how important it is to continue to move the field of fashion forward through Native made designs. It’s their shared hope this process will grow the public’s understanding about Indigenous cultures. Moderated by Dr. Jessica Metcalfe, owner of Beyond Buckskin Boutique, the panel was followed by a special q & a with Warren Montoya, owner of Rezonate Art. Montoya shared news about their upcoming event Creative Frequencies, taking place April 23, 2015 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

During the rest of the evening over 250 people danced to the sounds DJ Randy Boogie played and shopped the Native Artists Trunk Show. Folks enjoyed the Native made loot including the new spring line from OXDX Clothing, stellar items from Beyond Buckskin Boutique and a new line of earrings and a premiere tee from Rezonate Art.

This was the third event we’ve held in Phoenix and we are grateful for the continued support. Many thanks to Sochu House for hosting us, Rezonate Art and Beyond Buckskin Boutique for their support of our vision, we enjoy working with you both! A special thanks to the designers and DJ Randy Boogie for their participation in this special event. We can’t wait until next year. ❤ P4
